1st Internacional Screening of  Video Dance  "Corpo em Foco / Body in Focus" hosted by NORTE Festival de Dança

The International Video Dance Screening "Corpo em Foco / Body in Focus" is directed and curated by Paulo Henrique multimedia choreographer with Play Bleu,  video & graphic designer hosted by the 17th Edition of NORTE Dance Festival and explores the ever evolving relationship between camera and dance fpor the 1st time in the Festival.
The deadline for submission is April  20th. 

 

Video works are presented in 2 categories:

• Choreography for the Camera—original works made specifically for video or film, or re-staged for the camera.
• Experimental and Digital Technologies—works that extend the boundaries of dance and the body that can exist only in video, film, or new technologies.   
 

All videos/movies will be fully reproduced at the Festival. There is no video limit per authors/producers. Senders will be responsible for the inscription expenses and a catalogue with the video participants will be created.

Submissions will be judged from video links. Please note, there is a maximum length for submissions:15 minutes. Films of all year production will be considered.

Artists / video makers are invited to submit their works and projects. To take part in the selection, send your works’ submissions with a short biography, and links of videos projects via e-mail to: videodance.bodyinfocus@gmail.com

Screenings will take place on 1st of May at NORTE Dance Festival, Porto, Portugal.
Screenings last approximately 120 minutes.
It will be a prize for the selected video by the public.
